Who is Moez Bouchaala and where does this name come from?
Before starting to introduce myself the casual boring way, which most of us are fed up with, allow me dear readers to start with my passion for learning languages, which started at 12.
Born in Tunisia with an Arabic/Tunisian mother tongue, I knew that learning a new language would be my door opener to the world, so I started at the age of 12 with English, which I loved so much.
I remember that I was always the fastest to look for new information at my school because I was able to understand more English compared to my colleagues. This didn’t only stop at school, but also in summer vacations.
I was the only one who dared to speak to those nice tourists, and I was sometimes lucky and got phone numbers
. Thanks to English I was able to meet my Dutch girlfriend back in summer 2011 In Tunisia.
Learning English didn’t stop at boosting my performance at school or my dating life, but also my travel experience.
I don’t know if you guys heard of IREX. It is an international organization, that works with many universities and helps them to spend one academic year in the United States, and guess What! I was one of those international students and thanks to my friend English again, I made it to travel to the USA and spend one interesting multicultural year there.
After coming back home, my journey with English continued and I was able to graduate with a very good score as an IT technician in Telecommunication. I got very good jobs because of my strong command of English and French (Yes, I can also speak French).
So, ladies and gentlemen, now we go back to the normal way of introduction. I’m Moez Bouchaala, currently a Product specialist in Hamburg Germany with a big love and passion for learning languages and I am trying to help you with this Blog to guide you to choose the most convenient German learning tool. My online learning German journey
My passion for learning languages didn’t stop at English. It continued with German. A popular language in Europe and a door Opener to many job opportunities indeed.
Well folks, to be frank with you, I have never planned to learn German, the idea happened by chance and my mother was responsible for it: D
In my mid-twenties, I was not satisfied with the role of IT Support Specialist, and I was looking for a change. I remembered that my mother used to speak German and she had an old grammar German book from the 70s, so I grabbed the book and I started to have a feeling about the Language.
From there my journey started, which was full of frustrations because I didn’t find the correct methods at the beginning, till I started to look for alternatives online, instead of going to a language school, which was very Boring. I have never enjoyed sitting for two hours trying to learn many vocabulary and grammar rules, which I forgot after 1 Hour. Plus, if you don’t use those rules, then it is just a waste of time.
I started with the online German courses from DW, they were a bit better but also like the language schools. I kept trying and downloading many Apps, till I found the Apps, which helped me and that’s why I decided to make this Blog to help the many German learners out there to have a solid overview of the online learning German opportunities.
